All successful people know how to make decisions between options. There are some of us, though, who find making decisions really difficult.
Let’s use buying a car as an example. While you might have a budget and a general idea, there are so many choices, how do you decide?
An easy way is to create a ‘Want & Must Have’ list.
Here’s an example:
- I want a convertible but it must have a sunroof
- I want a GPS system but it must have a 5 deck CD player
- I want a large trunk but it must have fold down rear seats
If any of the ‘must haves’ are not there, that car is dismissed, period.
Action – Use this Want & Must Have list for all sorts of decisions. Make one right now for something – maybe a new job, a vacation, and yes, a new car.
The must haves become your bottom line and anything less than that is simply unacceptable.
Thank you nancy, seriously I am in a similar kind of situation and now I know how to deal with it. Many Thanks.
I agree with you
