How does the sport of boxing relate to success? Well, in boxing, victory goes to the person who gets up after being knocked down just one more time than his competitor.
Success isn’t necessarily about winning or having a competition. But it comes from that same perseverance demonstrated by boxers and various other athletes.
It is about getting back up when you’ve been knocked down. Successful people are always the ones who have been knocked down, often more than once, and get back up on their feet again. They create their success by refusing to lie down for any length of time.
Action – Why do you get up after being knocked down? Is it sheer determination? The love of the challenge? Or maybe the idea of doing what you thought you couldn’t?
Whatever it is, create the system to get you on your feet again. Because victory is waiting for you.
Thank you Nancy. I really like this idea.
If you check me out on my website I may be wearing boxing gloves! I am a former athlete, boxer, military parachutist and I resonate with your sport and success. I believe determination which is tattooed on my wrist has assisted me to train other women thru fitness and health. I walk the talk. A leader sets the pace. Thanks for the awesome post!
Be like the weeble!!
haha – Absolutely Sharon!
WOW was this spot-on or what!! Sharon, I totally agree, weebles rule! Thank you, Nancy, I truly needed to hear this today.
If IT didn’t kill me, it made make me stronger. I have been in a highly competitive job for many years, being knocked down has made me much stronger and more willing to take chances. I think we should all wear boxing gloves to work.
