According to Bob, nothing had changed in the last two months. He said he had the same clients, same friends, same evening activities and weekend chores. Bob was content with this, although a little puzzled at the lack of new opportunities.

And therein lay the problem!

Creating success isn’t about waiting for extraordinary events to happen. Success is created by those who turn everyday situations into big occasions, those who seize moments, and those who recognize that opportunities can easily be disguised as failures or obstacles.

Action – Choose a so-called ‘failure’ from the last 24 hours. It could be a missed deadline, an error you made in a report, or an argument you had with a friend. If you viewed the event as an opportunity, what could you do next?

Every day you are given many opportunities to learn and develop something special.

  1. HI Nancy!

It was good to talk yesterday — and now that I think about it, our conversation was about taking a bad situation and finding the good in it.

    I like today’s message — very useful!

  2. It’s so true, so many lost opportunities every day…I need to not only start looking at this from a different perspective but also do something about it . Thanks Nancy
