You’ll be disappointed if you expect to learn something mind-blowing from trainers or gurus or even these blog postings. Learning is not about a-ha moments.

To learn is to integrate something new in an incremental fashion until you’ve mastered the new skill.

I use the analogy of a penny rolling across a ledge. One day, you read an article on an interesting subject and the penny rolls a little. You hear one of my corporate audio clips or go for a reflective walk, and the penny moves along again. Then, one day, something happens and the penny drops.

You consider that to be amazing, yet everything leading to that moment has contributed to that moment.

Action – Take steps every day to learn. Read an article. Engage in debate. Listen to a podcast. And then take an action of some sort.

The learning will occur – as long as you take the steps.
