You can learn more about success in 30 minutes of watching a child than in many hours of sitting in workshops or presentations. Children can be amazing teachers!
For example, infants demonstrate almost pure awareness. They lack filters and judgments and so-called ‘logic’ so they exist entirely in the present moment, their senses keenly attuned to their immediate environment.
Toddlers who have vivid imaginations show us the advantage and ease of creativity.
And a young child’s capacity for learning is fed by curiosity.
These things – imagination, desire for learning and a curious nature – are fundamental and necessary elements of success.
Action – This week, set aside time to nurture some of these child-like qualities in yourself. Play, dream, learn and ultimately create success.
This is perfect for a meeting I have today. I’m working on a project that I was awarded, simply by telling them straight up, I’ve never worked on a project like this and have a lot to learn and looked forward to getting creative to try something new. By setting ego aside and asking ALL questions, without any filter or worry of feeling inadequate, I am confident this project will be a success for my client and I’ll learn a lot from it!
Nancy, I love this message. I have learned more things about myself and life in general watching my grandson, who just turned 10 years.
Thanks for sharing,
Jerome
