Do you know how to play? Really play? As in “let your hair down and just have fun”?

Unfortunately, too many busy professionals have forgotten how to play!

Did you paint as a child? Did you use sculpting clay to create masterpieces? Did you stage plays or perform poetry? Did you play Monopoly, Clue, chess or cards?

Did you learn a musical instrument? Join a baseball team? Hang around museums? All of the above? Some of the above?

A lot of our true fun nature is set when we’re young. Somewhere along the line, we forget how to goof off, be silly, be creative and just have fun.

Action – So give yourself permission to get silly for a while in a fun and healthy way.

Find that youthful energy and creativity sometime this week. Never miss the chance to play.

  1. Yes Nancy, doing some silly fun activities once a while, certainly takes off the stress and makes yourself rejuvenated for the next course of action.

  2. I’m all for this – there’s still that kid in me that wants to go down the slide even if it is wet and I am the one that can see over the bar when I swing high! There’s no bigger pleasure in sitting in a rockpool with a net and fishing for critturs.

One of the greatest parts of becoming a parent is that I found I could indulge all that play time again and share in my sons experiences as he discovered his joy of play for the first time. It’s an all round beautiful experience.

However if you don’t have the cover of a kid 🙂 then go for it anyway xx What’s stopping you – those folk who might say something? Just call them over – they probably need to get their ass wet on the slide too.

  3. The timing on this is perfect, I just purchased adult coloring book and was feeling guilty for wanting to color in it. 🙂 Now I can go home tonight and relax with my 50 designer color pencils and my coloring book.
