Confucius distilled the underlying formula for successful learning in three simple phrases. They are:

I hear and I forget
I see and I remember
I do and I understand

If you are one of the subscribers to my “On Success” corporate audio program, then you’ll know that the best way to experience their real benefits is to actually do something with the information they provide.

If you were to only listen to the audio clips (mine or anyone else’s for that matter!), the message may not stick. Reading more here at my blog is okay too, but to experience the real benefit, you must take some kind of Action, like the one suggested below.

The bottom line is that if you want to really learn and understand something, you must take action and experience the learning.

Action – Whenever you come across something that makes you stop and think there’s more you’d like to understand, take the next step and DO SOMETHING. Of course you may enjoy just listening or reading. But experiencing your learning makes a lasting difference – no matter what the topic.

Hear, see AND do… it’s simple!
