Have you ever heard of Occam’s Razor?

It’s a 14th century principle that states all things being equal, the simplest option is the best one. This principle still holds true after almost 700 years as we continue to strive for achievement.

Most of us get drawn into complicated patterns of behavior and we spend tons of money, time and energy looking for an ideal solution. Occam’s Razor reminds us that the ideal solution is always in simplicity.

In fact, a solution to any problem is almost always inside of what is currently there.

Action – Instead of searching far and wide for some new fangled technique or device, what within the problem itself can be tweaked? What can you simplify right now that would be the foundation of a sustainable solution?

Whether for yourself or while creating innovative solutions for clients, look first for Occam’s Razor.
