Labels are everywhere. On a can of beans, the inside of your suit, as the emblem on your car!

The worst place for a label is on you!

In our society, we tend to add what we do to our name. Hi, I’m Bob the builder or I’m Jane and I’m an architect.

It’s one thing to be proud of what you do and it’s something completely different to identify yourself with that label.

As Wayne Dyer said – “when you are what you do, then when you don’t, you aren’t.”

What will happen when Jane stops designing and Bob stops building – who will they be then?

Each of us is a human being who has a purpose, an entity and a spirit far beyond our 9-5 actions.

For example, I’m Nancy and I contribute and serve the world in many ways. One of those is by teaching success strategies. Another is by protecting wildlife. Another is as a good friend. I have many more roles than simply that of an Achievement Specialist.

And so do you.

Action – How are you bigger than your job? Write down all the roles you have in life. And at the top of the page, bigger than all the other lettering, simply write out your name.

Because that is the biggest contribution you make.

  1. I am a loyal friend, partner and sister. I build bridges between people, and I offer sincere care and empathy. I promote truth, education & understanding. I protect wildlife and the environment, and leave the world in a better place than I found it.
