Complicated projects can be managed easily with a few simple actions.

Action – The very first step is to break the project into tasks that must be completed by you alone and then into those tasks that can be done by others (or with others).

Next, break the tasks down again into actions that will take no more than a day to complete (this is a key point!).
Commit to completing those one-day tasks by writing down the actions needed in your work diary. Then negotiate the time needed by others to complete their tasks and get those in writing too.

And finally, on a daily basis, and even if it is just for a few moments, check in with yourself and the others to make sure everything is on track and under control. A project that is not monitored is more likely to fall apart, causing unnecessary delays and untold stress for everyone.

A complicated project can actually be this simple.
