Would you like to leave the office early today AND not feel like you are leaving things undone?

While that may be an enticing idea, it is unlikely to happen.

That is because research shows professionals have at least 59 hours worth of work on their desk at any one time. So in the morning, you have 59 hours worth of work and when you leave at the end of the day, you have 59 hours worth of work.

No wonder we feel so overwhelmed all the time!

And that, my friend, is my point. We FEEL overwhelmed because we want the situation to be different than it is. The person who leaves the office feeling complete STILL has work on their desk; they just have different attitudes and actions than you do.

I KNOW I’m not going to get it all done in one day. So, I have systems in place to help me realistically and clearly get through my to-do list. I create success and rarely feel guilty when the office door is shut on my way out.

Action – What language do you hear in your head as you’re making your way home at the end of the day? Is that voice REALLY true or just some falsehood you’ve learned along the way? If you were to flip any negativity over on its head, how might you feel by the time you reach your front door?

Try it out tonight.
