Did you ever notice how three types of people make this world go ‘round?
- Those who make things happen
- Those who watch things happen and
- Those who wonder what happened!
We can all list people who make things happen: Jonas Salk who invented the polio vaccine, Abraham Lincoln who was determined to end slavery, Mother Teresa who was driven to provide for the poorest of the poor. This is not even the tip of the iceberg.
And we can all list countless people who stand by the sidelines either watching or wondering what is going on.
It’s easy for you to make something happen and it doesn’t have to be huge.
Action – Be the first to offer a solution or to apologize to a friend. Participate. Make yourself heard.
Maybe these things aren’t like saving the world from disease and poverty. But they can make something happen that otherwise would not.
And that’s a key to success in all aspects of life.
