How many online subscriptions do you have?

If you have too many emails coming in, ditch some of your ezine and newsletter sign-ups.

Pool ol’ Bob was inundated with emails all day long. As a busy and successful sales executive, he was constantly receiving queries and replies. But he was also getting advertisements, reports and other documents he rarely looked at.

Some time ago, he had signed up for these industry reports and data sheets but now he didn’t bother reading them. Yet every day, they landed in the inbox just adding to the number of incoming emails.

Although he didn’t have a lot of them to start with, after deleting about 50% of his subscriptions, Bob found a few extra minutes each day to read the others that still came in. And the last time we spoke, he had downsized even more to just one weekly industry newsletter that summarized all the relevant information into one simple read.

Action – Today, unsubscribe from 20% of your ezines or online newsletters. Seven days from now, do the same thing.

Within a month, you may well find yourself with a more manageable email inbox.
