I recently started working out again after a back injury. Although I feel sore, I am excited to be back in the gym again!
I probably don’t need to tell you that one of the first things we stop doing when we’re busy, lonely, frustrated or stressed, is our workouts, even though the benefits of exercise positive effect us physically and mentally.
But in order to get the benefits, you do not need to go to a gym or hire a personal trainer. Research confirms that just ten minutes of fairly brisk walking reaps many rewards. Stretching your legs or arms for a few minutes twice a day loosens tight muscles and ligaments. Even a casual 30 minute stroll outside at lunchtime will spark a chain reaction that helps you feel lighter and brighter.
Action – Instead of removing exercise from you to-do list, make it a priority (right at the top) and I guarantee others parts of that list won’t feel so overwhelming, annoying or boring.
(No, that is not me in the photo … but I’m working on it!)
Thanks for that this morning. Its funny that this was the tip today. i already had packed my gym bag in preparation to got the gym after work. After a week of making excuses about not having time to go, this gave me extra boost i need to get back on it. Thanks!
Great advise. Our office is crazy busy trying to get new processes in place.
