I finally came to realize that I have an ego. And sometimes that ego wants to do some very grand things!

Egos, in and of themselves, are not bad things – when I accepted mine, I freed myself from the negative hold that I often allowed it to have on me.

Sigmund Freud had a lot to say about egos, and although I certainly don’t believe everything he proposed, his discussions of how the ego makes up part of our driving force has definite value! I am now able to distinguish between the ego’s positive and negative influences.

For instance, on the negative side, the ego can drive you to be seen as knowledgeable about something even if you’re not. On the positive side, it may drive you to build a great sales team because you want to be successful.

Action – Acknowledge that your ego system does exist.

Because as you embrace it, you will see just how valuable you really are.
