You hear it all the time but do you heed the message? For goodness sake, cut yourself some slack!

When did you stop being human and turn into an omnipotent God who does no wrong? When did you grow six other arms and become an octopus who could juggle dozens of tasks at the same time? When did you clone yourself so you could be several places all at the same time?!

The pressures we feel from the outside world can be significant enough. What is the point of exacerbating everything with even more pressure from within?

Stress costs any country’s economy billions each year in lost productivity. To the individual, the lost TIME of ruminating and chastising oneself cannot be valued or replaced.

Action – Every day, pick one thing and let it slide. Drop perfectionism and procrastination and simply allow yourself to do your best in any given moment. What gets done gets done, that’s it, that’s all.

As long as the kids are loved, plants are watered and the cat gets let out at night, all is right in the world, just for today. Let the rest of it go by cutting yourself some slack!
