Ralph Waldo Emerson said – “Always do what you are afraid to do.”
Never let fear direct your decisions.
I’m not suggesting you take silly risks or disregard cautious intuition. But tell me this – how many times have you let a little fear influence you away from where you wanted to be going?
Fear shows up in so many different ways, including procrastination, negative attitude and self-sabotaging behavior. You may have even lost count of how many times fear has stopped you!
Stare your fears down and take action. Being in action settles an overactive imagination and silences inner doubt.
The earlier in the day you take a feared action, the more of the day will open up for your more pleasurable or motivating activities.
Every moment you hang on to or delay a feared action is another moment wasted because you can never truly avoid a feared thing. It quietly, though sometimes loudly, takes up energy and space in your mind and spirit until confronted.
Action – Today, write down a feared action you will commit to doing first thing tomorrow morning. Then do this for the next 7 days.
Don’t let fears stop you from creating success.
This is the most beneficial lesson I’ve learned from Nancy. It’s just amazing how wonderful your day can be if you get the nasty stuff out of the way as soon as possible. I have a note hanging in constant view next to my computer: Feared Things First!
