Success, some people say, is the combination of several different ingredients. The only problem with this idea is that so-called “gurus” cannot seem to come up with one definitive list.

That’s because each person must create their own list!

You see, each of us comes to the table of success with unique perspectives, histories, narratives and goals for the future. We have our own fears, limited beliefs and internal gremlins. We also all have special skills, abilities and previous positive outcomes.

This is why, particularly in a work environment, people can have trouble working together. While we “talk” about success as a team or company, each individual “thinks” about it differently.

Action – Whether you’re a manager, consider yourself a team player or are simply engaging directly with a client, you must uncover what others define as success for the company or project.

That way, everyone can experience a win-win situation!
