This is one of those videos I wish I had made. But Charles Jennings made it first so I am more than happy to give him credit.
This 4 minute video – a true form of microlearning itself – is pleasant to watch, generally highly engaging and not too “in your face”. It’s data points are short, sweet and quick without being unnecessarily layered. You will find yourself easily remembering some of those facts in future.
70:20:10 speaks to the known fact that 70% of our learning comes from experience and practice, 20% comes from conversations and relationships and just 10% comes from ‘formal’ learning. The 70 and 20 of the formula are known as ‘informal’ learning. Microlearning, in its various forms and formats, fits neatly and effectively in the 90% brackets of informal learning.
