Change happens. Period.
No matter how fearful you may be, no matter how much you try to run away, put it off or avoid it, change happens.
So, you can either continue to resist it or you can jump onto the wagon of change with consciousness and control. THAT choice is yours.
Now, for some folks, big huge hairy changes are the way to go. They’ll choose to change careers, lifestyles and even countries all in one shot. That massive overall change is absolutely perfect for them.
But for many, that kind of sweeping change is just way too much. Even the idea of changing their wardrobe styles causes heart palpitations! It feels too much like leaping off a cliff into the huge unknown.
Action – If you’re one of these people, do NOT try to force huge change, but commit to bringing more thought and purpose to what you ARE changing. Just make changes in your life piece by piece at this point.
If you want to create a healthier lifestyle for example, don’t dump out the fridge and cupboards all in one day. Add 10% more fruit and vegetables to your diet or 10% more exercise today.
At work, add one unpleasant daily task to your action list. Spend 15 minutes getting more organized or 30 minutes every day clearing your backlog.
Remember, change IS happening. But you can be in control AND in motion simultaneously. Just take it one step at a time.
