Too much seriousness can shorten your life!

Sure, there are important things to do. There are priorities and challenging events. You need to focus energy and resources towards life goals and ambitions.

But taking yourself and others too seriously is simply a waste of valuable and precious time!

Look around you right now. How many happy faces do you see? Who has a twinkle in their eye or glow on their face? Probably very few people! (shame really)

We are inundated all day by 24 hour news channels, online real time images and data. We have learned that its okay to complain without finding solutions. And most threatening of all are the vast quantities of messages we receive through media and other channels that says we just aren’t good enough.

All this negative leads to an almost obsessive seriousness.

A significant portion of what you spend time worrying about is beyond your control. While you can influence others, you cannot change them, so your concerns are ill-placed.

Life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured!

Action – When was the last time you had some fun? I’m not talking about a 5 minute giggle with a pal. I mean a full day of light-hearted entertainment and relaxation?

Book yourself a day off from all this seriousness. Plan fun activities with friends, family or on your own. Immerse yourself into joy.

And then do it again and again.

Take life, but not seriously.
Live life, graciously.
Make life, deliberately.
