Sir Winston Churchill and I agree on the basic principle that persistent consistent action over time is the only way to achieve lasting success.

What Churchill actually said was “Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential.”

It’s not about strength. Being strong is not as significant as being boldly persistent, despite temptations to stop.

It’s not about intelligence. Brains get you nowhere if you can’t stay consistently focused on action.

It is about patience to stay the course over time – a characteristic Mr. Churchill had in spades.

Action – So, here’s how to be persistent and consistent over time.

Every day this week, do one thing – just one – that will make a particular goal more likely to happen. Just take the action every single day.

That’s it. It’s that simple.
