When everyone else is putting out fires, you can be preventing them. You see, the time to fix the roof is when the sun is shining!
Sure, you’re going to have last minute emergencies now and then. But success comes to those who keep even just a little ahead of the present conditions.
Instead of worrying about what ‘might’ happen, think and plan in advance. Beyond simple contingency plans, I’m referring to being ahead of an approaching action, both in attitude and in action.
Action – Today, spend an hour thinking and planning ahead on one of your primary projects.
- What are the considerations?
- What elements are coming around the corner but aren’t here yet?
- What is happening elsewhere in the marketplace or environment that have potential to add or subtract from your project?
- Who are key players in the future that need a heads up now?
Prevention is always better than cure!
