Our fears can stop us from going after something we really want.
And almost all our fears can be easily summed up in these questions: “what if I make a mistake?” and “what if I’m wrong?”
Success comes from good judgment, which comes from experience, which comes from bad judgment and mistakes.
The key, of course, is to make sure you learn from each mistake.
Watch a small child as she learns something new. She’ll take an action and it either works or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, she’ll think for a minute, adjust her behavior and try again.
Action – Today, list the last five mistakes you think you made and then record three things you can learn from each mistake.
Forget the fear of being wrong. Embrace your mistakes. As long as you learn from what went wrong, you’ll gain experience and ultimately be successful.
