I think Oliver Wendell Holmes was right when he said “A man may fulfill the object of his existence by asking a question he cannot answer and attempting a task he cannot achieve”.
To me, our sense of life purpose is fulfilled by daring the seemingly impossible and by not playing it safe.
In our day to day lives, at work and at home, we rarely venture beyond comfort. We think not knowing something or not being able to do something is a failure. In fact, the very acceptance of our inability puts us on the path of success.
And Mr. Holmes’ saying reminds us that our life purpose involves other people. Perhaps when we allow ourselves to not know and do it all, we’ll be able to truly connect with others who have the answers and abilities we do not.
Action – So, what question are you now ready to ask? What action are you now prepared to take?
Thank you Nancy, It’s seem to be right, and gives me some strength today to fight again…We never change the other people but you can substitute your point of view for a better one and that’s certainly the key of your spiritual equilibrium.
Best regards
Alain
Our ability to change our point of view is one of the most powerful things we have. Thanks for your comment, Alain.
