Many people tell me they want to feel like they have more choices. They don’t want to feel like they “have to” stay with that job, or partner, or house or financial position anymore.

Bob wanted to leave his job but felt that, with this economic climate, he had “no choice” but to stay. The risk was too great, he thought, and he wanted to be able to take care of the family.

And while he actually already knew he could make different choices, he didn’t know how. In fact, he kept making the plan to leave but just didn’t understand why he couldn’t follow through.

It’s quite simple. Bob wasn’t prepared to take responsibility.

Now, you may think that he felt very responsible for his family. But let’s not confuse a feeling of responsibility with feelings of worry or fear or guilt.

The type pf responsibility I’m talking about is the kind that means you acknowledge complete ownership of your life. That you and you alone make decisions and take actions with both positive and negative consequences.

No blame. No sulking. No looking for ways out.

That type of responsibility takes courage and fortitude. And that is exactly what Bob learned how to do. In his new career, he is happier, makes more than enough money and even spends MORE time with his family.

Action – Are you ready to take on more responsibility? If you are, I guarantee you will also be creating infinite choices.
