“Even if you are on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”
That quote from actor Will Rogers sums up the key component of any success, no matter how it’s defined:-
You must take actions toward your goal.
Yes, I know, you already know this, but most of us know what to do and only a few actually get off their butts to do it.
Action – If you are struggling with any goal, here are a few quick ways to get back on track right now.
1. Divide the goal down into tiny chunks. Miniscule ones if need be. Make it so simple the action requires little thought. Within no time, you’ll be steaming along nicely.
2. Phone up someone this minute and tell them one action you are going to take within the next half hour. Then call them back once the task is done to boast about your completion. Beat the clock and finish the task sooner if you can.
3. Rejuvenate your energy with 10 minutes of exercise. Walk briskly around the office or go outside. Jump up and down a few times, clap your hands, dance the twist – anything to get some physical energy going. Your mind WILL follow.
4. Or pick up a pen and write out the one big fear that stops you from taking action. Then rip the paper into little shreds, sit down and get to work!
Don’t just dream your dreams, make them happen!
