Homework doesn’t stop when you graduate from high school.
In fact, people fail to achieve their goals because they haven’t done their homework. They guesstimate too many factors and either forge ahead blindly OR have incorrect information and don’t move their goals ahead at all.
Action – If you’re not sure HOW to do homework on your goals, here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Who else has done something similar and what I can learn from them?
- What resources such as time and money do I really need?
- What support could I ask for?
- What changes to my current attitudes and actions will help me succeed?
- What steps and benchmarks will likely be needed to get me where I want to go?
Gather the data and see what the information gives you. Then, check your commitment level and, if you’re ready, step forward.
