Q – So, Nancy, where does my feeling of overwhelm come from?
A – Overwhelm is primarily the result of running off in all directions, or a lack of direction.
A long to-do list creates brain drain. And most of the stuff you are constantly thinking about is not really leading you to where you want to go. If it was, it would feel like a stepping stone, not an ever-multiplying network of paths for you to wander down.
You need direction, which leads to a sense of purpose. Just like reading a map to get to a destination, knowing your goals will guide you and inform your decisions.
