People will often tell me they aren’t brave enough to pursue a certain goal. I can say without any doubt that that is absolutely false!

Every single day, we are faced with challenges that require courage to overcome.

Salespeople will tell me they can’t make cold calls from fear of rejection. Yet every day, they run the risk of being rejected within their close personal relationships with friends and family.

Office juniors will say they can’t respectfully say ‘no’ as it might mean incurring the wrath of the manager. Yet in our daily interpersonal communication, we run the risk of having someone turn on us.

People tell me they cannot change jobs, partners, cities or even themselves just because they fear the unknown.

Well, as Agnes de Mille said – “Living is a form of not being sure, not knowing what’s next or how. We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark.”

Action – Write out 5 leaps in the dark YOU have taken in the last 24 hours (I guarantee that, if you look, you will find them!)

The courage we use to face every day is exactly the same courage you can use to scale the obstacles you imagine are stopping you.
