What does the term "mental wealth" mean?
Mental wealth is a term that describes experiencing a feeling of abundant mental wellbeing and depth of self-awareness. It is about being able to easily cope with the ups and downs of life by understanding who you are, why you do what you do and how to live your ideal professional, personal and social life. Having mental wealth also includes having a confident ability to set and achieve the goals that help you create that life.
What is Business Psychology?
Much like the phrase implies, Business Psychology is an evidence-based science that investigates how to help businesses and their people be more effective together. According to the Association of Business Psychology, “it combines an understanding of the science of human behavior with experience of the world of work to attain effective and sustainable performance for both individuals and organizations.” As an applied science, Business Psychology can help businesses improve their practices to leverage the skills of their people while helping their people engage with the objectives of the organization. It explores how people and workplaces align their often-competing goals to create healthy and productive environments that increase engagement and drive profits.
What type of Business Psychology do you practice?
While most Business Psychologists focus on “between person” outcomes (why Jane is more productive than Bob), my expertise lies mainly in understanding “within person” outcomes – why Jane is productive on Monday, not as much on Tuesday but excels on Thursday. Taking a primarily within-person approach is unique in business psychology and is ideal for helping employees self-manage their mindset and behaviors.
