I love it when people disagree with me! It’s in those moments of debate that I feel most energized.

It’s not because I think the contradiction is my opportunity to win. Instead, it’s a great chance to learn.

Not only does dispute give us a chance to grow, but it’s also a time for getting a deeper understanding of another person.

Their comments, questions and viewpoints give you tremendous insight into who they are, what they want and what they want to avoid. And the more you know about them and vice versa the deeper your relationship can be.

Action – I’m not talking about purposefully starting fights with your friends, family, colleagues or clients. But I am suggesting that next time someone disagrees with you, be open to what they’re saying instead of being afraid of conflict.

You see, if everyone agreed with everything, nothing would evolve!
