Your negative feelings can help you create success in your life. You see, the level of your dissatisfaction is actually a measure of your courage to grow beyond your comfort zone.

Those negative feelings are a signal that you’re ready to go beyond where you currently are.

If you ever see a butterfly trying to break out of its cocoon, do not crack it open. If you do, the insect drops to the ground and dies. Why? Because it’s the struggle of opening the chrysalis that strengthens the butterfly’s wings so it can fly.

Think of your frustration with something as a chrysalis, and your struggle to move beyond it as the opportunity to learn and strengthen yourself.

Action – And as you’re moving forward, ask yourself this:

What lesson am I being asked to learn by this challenge?

Remember, your discomfort is a measure of your courage to grow beyond your comfort zone.

  1. Nancy,

I recall a few times I had these feelings and it was a reminder how important the moment was and it did give me strength to overcome any nervousness. I can honestly say that those moments were critical for me and I believe I learned more about myself and my capability to perservere and succeed.

    Thanks,
    Frank

  2. Yes!!! Without the struggles I faced in life I wouldn’t be where I am today. I love my little discomforts every now and then, as it propels me to seek where the next comfort zone is…but then I get restless again, and I go after better and bigger comfort zone! Thanks Nancy.
