My husband and I went through an interesting process when we decided to get a second dog. And that process generated some angst and lots of discussion.
You see, we knew that the time, energy and money needed for two dogs is more than for just one. Logically, it is silly for us to have 2 dogs. In fact, with our lifestyle, even one dog is a bit unreasonable.
But as more and more research is uncovering, very few final decisions are based on logic. We may crunch numbers, weigh risks and analyze outcomes, but at the end of the day, most of our deciding factors are based on emotion.
Action – When making a decision, understand that your wants will invariably outweigh your needs. And the same holds true for those you are trying to influence as well.
That’s not to say that reasonable argument isn’t important. It’s just not always going to win out.
Your dogs are beautiful and I have always found that emotions make bad choices, I have three dogs.
haha Three dogs … you must be in heaven!
With those faces how could you say “no”…
