Hope is a wondrous thing. It means to have the general feeling that some desire will be fulfilled.
Hope often gives us energy in times of gloom or when we are casting our minds forward.
But whenever I hear someone say “I hope I get this project done” or “this quarter’s sales figures will hopefully be better”, I only have one response.
Hope lives in your heart, not in your business or career!
The phrase “I hope” loosely tossed into business-related sentences is a sure-fire way of signaling to someone, including yourself, that you really have no clue about what is going on or no real conviction to make something happen.
“I hope” tells me you are unsure, non-committal and probably not interested anyway.
And that is the complete opposite of success.
Action – It can be challenging to change the habit of using a destructive phrase like “I hope” so this is the time to call in someone from your Goal Getter Gang. Whenever you say “I hope” in relation to work, have that person let you know.
Get support to signal your “I hopes” and leave the real hope to other aspects of your life.

“I hope” is used often but I have never seen it in that prospective! It totaly make sence when you state that HOPE is in the heart and has no place in the business arena. I do believe that in order to succeed one must change; change the way you think, change the way you respond and change the words that come out of your mouth. I am not aware how often I phrase “I hope” in the office but, I will be more aware of the words that are coming out of my mouth. The way that I am able to do this is to pitch the notion to others. So, in my effort empower others, I am empowering myself!
Always aknowledge you Blessing,
