What’s been going wrong at the office these days? What problems have been rearing their ugly heads for you?
Maybe the technology team hasn’t resolved the glitch with your PC. Perhaps morale is really low and it feels like no one is taking responsibility. Maybe you feel like management simply doesn’t appreciate all your hard work. Or one of your colleagues is just annoying the heck out of you!
I know – it’s not always easy to deal with these situations. And they distract you from what you want to accomplish, right?
To solve any problems at work, the most productive focus of your attention is not on what others have or have not done for you but on what you have or have not done for yourself!
Where have you let your own standards of behavior slide? When was the last time you had a relaxing lunch? Do you need to learn how to say No to lots of requests? Do your colleagues really know what your boundaries are?
Action – Today, list 5 attitudes or actions YOU have that need upgrading or evolution.
Focus your attention on what YOU can do for yourself and stop getting all wound up by what others are or are not doing. Let them get on with their own stuff.
