You can spend all day trying to make yourself “better”.  But there is no way to make yourself “better”.

Instead of focusing on being better – or richer or stronger or smarter or whatever – start by accepting where you are right now.

Because “better” is not attainable. Being driven to be better means that by the time you get there, “there” will have moved to somewhere else.

The idea of being “better” generally comes from outside influences, like media or societal pressures. But you are what you are, where you are, in the grand scheme of things, for a reason.

I’ve pulled myself out of this “better” trap by changing my language. I want to be healthy, not healthier. I want to be wealthy, not wealthier. And I no longer want to be better. I simply want to be my best.
