People will move mountains if they think someone believes they can.
The power of belief is one of the most important gifts you can give to another person. But that all depends on the kind of belief you actually have.
When you complain about a colleague, client, friend or associate, you’re “believing” that person should know or be better in some way. That right now, they aren’t good enough just as they are.
If you manage or lead others, what do you believe about your team? Do you have negative language, doubt their abilities or think they are incapable?
What about your peers? Is it a ‘them & us’ office environment? Do you talk about how colleagues get in your way?
And who does these things to YOU?
Action – Imagine for a moment that you wholeheartedly believe in the intelligence and intentions of people around you. How might you treat them differently than you do now?
People respond to your belief in them. Positively believe in others and they WILL rise to your appreciation.
