Charles Darwin had it right when he said “it is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
In business as in life, you must change, or die.
Sure, that sounds a little melodramatic, but next time you see someone arrogantly bullying others or baffling them with often-meaningless big words, quietly remind yourself that your ability to evolve through change is far superior to whatever it is they are trying to pull off!
Many of us resist change. I would hazard a calculated guess that a good 99% of the population would like things to stay just the way they are, even if that is uncomfortable or apparently detrimental to a desired way of being.
But history shows that staying stuck in one place is the fastest way to get left behind.
Action – There are far too many tips, tools and techniques for learning how to adapt to change than I could possibly cover in this one blog post. However, your accessing them can be as simple as a quick search in Google or your local library and bookstore.
Change happens, this is a known fact. Your ability to recognize, adjust and flex your attitudes and actions to meet that change is often the determining factor between success and failure.
