I was born and raised in Canada. One of the common stereotypes of Canadians is that we love our ice hockey. And for me, that is absolutely true!

In my youth and twenties, I spent many nights glued to the TV watching the Edmonton Oilers beat just about everyone they played.

And one of the best players on the ice at that time was Wayne Gretzky. (Many of his hockey records remain unbroken.)

Not only was Wayne a fantastic player, he also was and still is keen to share with others what he has learned, both on and off the ice.

Action – He has two quotes I love. And, I’m sure I could say something profound about each. Instead, I’m just going to say them and then leave you to take them or leave them as you see fit.

The first is “you will always miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” – and the other is – “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been.”
